Climate
England's overall climate is much milder than expected (considering its location), as all of the British Isles are warmed some by the Gulf Stream and North Atlantic Drift.
There are exceptions, but normally winters in England are damp and mild, with colder conditions (and snow) in the northern hills and mountains. Winter low temperatures in the central and south rarely fall below freezing.
Summers are usually pleasant and warm with sunny to party-cloudy days. Temperatures are the warmest across the south (from Bristol to London) and along the entire length of the English Channel.
Showers are possible at most anytime, but England's reputation as a constantly rainy and wet destination is very much exaggerated.
