This land of shamrocks, mythical heroes and gorgeous landscapes (even in the rain) should be on anyone's must-see list of travel destinations.
Ireland is a grand and beautiful scene, one with ancient castles, mystic sites and stunning landscape vistas scattered across its countryside.
From the historic capital city of Dublin, west to the Cliffs of Moher, and from the Lakes of Killarney, north to the rugged landscape of Tory Island, this country has more than its share of things to see and do.

Climate
Ireland's climate is milder than expected (considering its location), as it is warmed some by the Gulf Stream and North Atlantic Drift.
Those currents bring lots of rain to Ireland, especially along its Atlantic Ocean coastline, where daily rainfall is commonplace.
Winters are quite moderate, and temperatures below freezing are rare. The higher elevations do receive some snow, seldom heavy.
Summers across the country are pleasant as temperatures remain mild. The east coast is warmer, with occasional highs in the low 80's.
