Typical quiet and charming cottage rated « Art de Vivre » by the Midi-Pyrénées region.  Old farm from the 18th century with its own 1.5 Ha (ca 4 acres) private garden refurbished with local materials and know-how. It offers modern comfort while keeping its original character.   In the middle of the Parc Regional des Causses du Quercy (Lot) Regional Park.  Ideal location to visit the Lot and Quercy, Cahors and its vineyards, Rocamadour, Padirac, Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, Figeac and its Champollion museum, the Pech-Merle cave with its paintings.  Go for hiking or mountain biking, canoeing, explore caves, or simply enjoy the food (foie gras, truffle, confit) and wine, the quiet moments in the nature and the starry nights in one of the last black skies of France.  Bed linen, bathroom and kitchen linen, cleaning products are provided free of charge.  The original fireplace has been kept.  Electrical heating and a wood stove are also available.

B)    3 weeks in paradise. Does silence really sound like this ? I had forgotten. Just birdsong, croaky frogs and the odd buzzy thing. Even my mind stopped its frenzied chattering. And after a day gasping at the views, walking endless paths dotted with wild violets (white one’s too) what pleasure to come back to this perfect little cottage so snug and solid, sympathetically restored and so thoughtfully appointed. Oh yes, definitively a place to return to again, and again, and again…

What better then to “come-home” to a gite that is comfortable (especially the beds) well cared for and well stocked. Another bonus was to have all linens provided and all domestic products available.
