Meikle Barfil holiday cottage is a unique, detached property situated in beautiful rural Dumfries and Galloway. It offers stunning views across the countryside and down to our own private loch. The cottage has 3 spacious bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people + a cot. It offers:

• A main bathroom on the ground floor and a toilet and basin upstairs.

• A dining room with seating for 6 and an LCD TV and DVD player (digital channels available).

• Central heating and an oil fired stove in the lounge.


• A patio, barbecue and a large garden with outdoor table and chairs.


• Linen, hand towels and tea towels provided. Please bring your own bath towels.

• The property's location is halfway between Dumfries and Castle Douglas, offering a contrast between a modern and a traditional town.


• The area has lots of activities and attractions for adults and children, including watersports, mountain biking, fishing, pony trekking, golf, forest walks, historic castles, indoor and outdoor play centres for children and many more.


• Beautiful beaches are just a short drive away at nearby Kippford and Rockcliffe.


• There is also a variety of places to eat out, from contemporary restaurants to local pubs.
